Windows cannot find C:Windowsregedit.exe. Locate the following. In functionality to other locations. For everything else, see this: Win 7 8:.
First try a System Restore to a date you know was working properly.
A System Restore will restore system files and your registry to the way they were before they were tampered with but leave your personal files untouched. The only things you may loose are recently installed programs and updates and certain types of files if they were already maliciously deleted.
A Factory Restore will wipe the drive completely and restore the system to the way the factory shipped it, without your added programs and personal files.
If you cannot access system restore directly, try in safe mode. If that does not work, use a Windows 7 Repair Disk (you should have made one when the machine was new) and initiate a System Restore from the Repair Disk. If you do not have a Repair Disk, you can still make one from another Windows 7 machine as long as both machines are either 32bit or 64bit. This restore will be able to access your hidden restore points on your hard drive.
If you are lucky (and smart) enough to have thought of making a Disk Image through Windows Back Up, you can also use the Repair Disk to restore the drive with that image and then use a current back up to bring it up to date.
If you do have to do a Factory Restore or a complete reinstallation, PLEASE ask us for advice on using a Live Linux disk to recover your personal files BEFORE you begin.
You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.
